I finally called a venue and set up an appointment to view the space.  It's both Craig's and my first pick of a venue, we've only heard and read rave reviews about it.  It's in his hometown, where his family settled when they moved to America, and I looooove the idea of having everyone come back to that same town for the wedding.  It's also a pretty "in demand" place, so they might be all booked up already, but we'll see.  We're going Monday at 6 pm.  It's my day off, Craig's off, and my parents will come, too.

I've decided that IF they have an available date for the months I'm looking at, I'm putting a deposit down.  I'm done with this wedding planning shit lol.  It's taken me this long to even CALL a place and we got lucky that they could fit us in on a date that we're all available.  Who knows if/when that'll happen again?  I know I should probably look into a few more venues (and I will if I have to), but if we can get this place, I'm in.

So I booked the appointment and told Craig, so he's in.  I asked my dad if he was availble then and he is.  When I told my mom she goes, "Oh.... I have a dentist appointment that day at 430."  So I said, "Well you don't HAVE to come, if we book this place, you and I can come back again and look at it.  I just thought 6 would be a good time so you could work that day if you wanted to."  And then she went into this big huff about how she HAS to be there, so she'll reschedule HER appointment that she made BEFORE I made this appointment and oh HOPEFULLY they can fit me in the next day.  Good God..... It's a fuckin dentist appointment.  How am I supposed to know EVERYONE'S fuckin schedules?!  Insane!

Anyway, she's calmed down about that now.  She's excited to go.  I want here there, too!  But if she really needed to keep her appointment, I wasn't gonna reschedule mine.  Psh.

My parents are going on a 12 day cruise in March.  Originally, I wasn't going to take any time off.  I was gonna bring the dogs to Craig's and stay there for the duration of their trip.  But then I realized I don't like the idea of my parent's house being empty and what if the dogs made a mess at Craig's or tried to eat the chinchilla?  So I put in for vacation time.  I was just planning to take a week off, but I have a lot of holiday time and some personal time, so I won't be depleting my vacation time.  Hopefully it'll get approved by the uppity-ups.  12 days off would be AMAZING.

Now, my parents know that that's my plan, so my mom was saying how those 12 days of "peace and quiet" would be good for me to accomplish some serious wedding planning tasks, like getting STD's and the invites ready, organizing shit, making the guest list/table cards.... I dunno what the FUCK she's talking about hahaha, I have no intention of doing that yet.  I told her that yes, that WOULD be a good time to get it all done, but I told her that I was actually planning on using that downtime to start moving out.  She was kind of taken aback by that.  She was like, "Oh.... well yeah that would be a good time to do that, too."

I feel shitty.  I really love my parents and I looooove living with them and saving so much money.  But it's time to move out.  I gotta get moving with my life here.  And 12 days off is gonna be a great time for me to organize, clean, pack, and start getting shit done.

So that's pretty much my update.  Craig won't be home til later tonight, after 8, cuz he's gotta drop his truck off somewhere or some shit.  I dunno.  I'll still head over there and start to take the ornaments off the tree.  Boo .  Gotta shower over there, too.... I look like a hot mess today hahaha.

Anyway........ I guess that's it.  Maybe I'll read and take a quick nap before I do any more productive tasks today haha.  Toodles.
